The site that offers free no
obligation, friendly support and advice about the care for Mediterranean
tortoises. As tortoise enthusiasts, we acknowledge that there's so much to
learn about keeping a tortoise. As such, we decided to put
together this website so that keepers can come and learn about the basic
needs and requirements for their tortoise. Not surprisingly, many people do
under estimate the true commitment involved in keeping a tortoise which is
why we always advise people to read through our website first. Our aim is to give a brief overview on the main aspects of tortoise
care. We will merely just be scraping the surface of what there is to know. Most of our advice on this site is aimed at Mediterranean tortoises
(i.e. Testudo hermanni or Testudo graeca ibera) and is meant for educational
purposes only. The site also hosts an array of charts and images which we hope people will find
useful. On the right is a link to our classifieds section. To give buyers
full peace of mind, we only list tortoise adverts from genuine breeders and
keepers.
Below are some pictures of our younger tortoises. More pictures can be seen in our
Tortoise Gallery.

Our tortoises play a very
important part in our lives, very much so that it has
encouraged us to carry out extensive research in order
to offer them the best care possible.
We hope
you enjoy browsing through the rest of our website. If you have
any feedback or questions that you'd like to ask, please feel free to
contact us. Also, please visit our
'Useful
Links' page on the
upper left. This hosts information about other good tortoise and chelonian websites.

NEED TO GO
OUT THE HOUSE? BUT STILL WANT TO KEEP
AN EYE ON
YOUR TORTS? WHY NOT INVEST IN A WEBCAM.
Leaving your tortoise unmonitored for any
length of time can result in you coming home
to find that your tortoise has flipped
itself over onto it's back. This is
especially worrying for tortoise keepers who
have hatchlings as they are very active and
love to climb a lot. A couple of hours of
being upside down underneath their heat lamp
could end up being fatal. Because of this
reason alone, we decided to set up a Webcam
so that we could monitor our tortoises when
not at home.
For a chance to see our tortoises, you can
click on the live link below which will take
you directly to our tortoise webcam. The
webcam is normally live between 10am - 5pm
every day. Before and after these times, you
may find that the image does not update.
